Ex-Indian opening batter Wasim Jaffer, known for his hilarious memes on X on players and matches, has opened up on why he hasn't posted one in a while on the social media platform. Jaffer took to X and clarified that the current time is a sensitive one as people are still recovering from the Pahalgam terror attack.

At least 12 tourists have been reported injured and a handful of them lost their lives as Pakistan's militant groups have been alleged to have caused it. A father-son duo, belonging to Gujarat, are also included in the deceased list as the Indian government has taken several measures against Pakistan, causing a major geopolitical shift.

Taking to X, Jaffer wrote:

"To those asking why I haven't posted any memes - This is not a time to make memes. I urge everyone to be sensitive, there are 28 families mourning. What happened in Pahalgam was barbaric and heinous. Cricket is just a game, human life far more important."

Mumbai Indians and SunRisers Hyderabad paid tributes to the terror attack victims

A day after the terror attack, players of Mumbai Indians and SunRisers Hyderabad alongside the umpires and match officials observed a moment's silence over the victims losing their lives during the incident ahead of their IPL 2025 game. A host of former and current Indian cricketers including Virat Kohli, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Sachin Tendulkar, Anil Kumble, Suresh Raina and several others came forward to condemn the incident.
