A security official confiscated the flag of former Pakistan captain Imran Khan's political party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) in a video that has gone viral on social media during the 2nd T20I against New Zealand at the Seddon Park in Hamilton. The security official under discussion snatched the flag and walked away.

With Imran Khan currently in jail due to accusations of corruption, terrorism, and rioting, the supreme court of the country, on Saturday, rejected his party from retaining the traditional electoral emblem of a bat. This comes as a latest setback for the World Cup-winning captain ahead of the polls on February 8th since an electoral symbol is critical for the voters to be able to identify its candidates in a nation.

New Zealand go 2-0 up as Pakistan fluff another run-chase:

As far as the result of the match goes, the visiting side succumbed to another defeat, allowing New Zealand to take a 2-0 lead in the five-match series. Pakistan sent the Kiwis into bat again and Finn Allen set the tone with a swashbuckling 74. There were contributions from Kane Williamson, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, and Mitchell Santner as New Zealand set a 195-run target.

Pakistan openers Saim Ayub and Mohammad Rizwan departed for single-figure scores as Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam started the rebuilding job. However, things disintegrated for the visitors once Zaman perished after his half-century, leaving Babar to do the heavy lifting.

Babar top-scored with 66, but Pakistan were eventually bowled out for 173.
