West Indies and Seattle Orcas' middle-order batter Shimron Hetmyer hammered a last-ball six to break their ten-match losing streak in the ongoing edition of the Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025. With precisely six runs off the final ball delivery of the innings, the left-handed batter got down on one knee and dispatched the ball way over square leg.
With nine runs required off the last six deliveries for the Orcas, MI New York all-rounder Kieron Pollard had done incredibly well to bring the target to six needed off the final ball. Nevertheless, he bowled a full delivery in middle and leg as Hetmyer got to one knee and swung it mightily over square leg, helping Orcas gun down 238 with seven wickets to spare.

Hetmyer, meanwhile, struggled almost throughout the IPL 2025 for the Rajasthan Royals despite the franchise retaining him for ₹11 crore. In 14 matches, the southpaw managed only 239 runs at 21.72 alongside a decent strike rate of 145.73.
"I'm still kind of reminiscing over the last game" - Shimron Hetmyer
Although the 28-year-old named the innings as one of his best, Hetmyer believed Orcas should have also crossed the line against the San Francisco Unicorns while chasing 177 for victory. He said at the post-game presentation:
"This one is one of the best [knocks] because of the fact that we were basically backed against the wall in a situation where we really needed to win. And I'm still kind of reminiscing over the last game, because I really thought we should have crossed the line in the last game as well. So I'm really happy to be here and to be out in the park to make sure that we cross the line this time."
