Aryaa Dwivedi battled past a determined Vyomika Khandelwal in a pulsating duel in womens' Round of 16 encounter in the  Silver Scent 48 Bombay Gymkhana Maharashtra State Open Squash Championship 2025, on Tuesday.

Aryaa started strongly, clinching the first game 11-9, but Vyomika struck back in the second, using clever drop shots and precise angles to level the match.

The third game went Aryaa’s way 11-8, only for Vyomika to again claw back and force a decider with a 11-9 fourth-game win.

In the final game, Aryaa’s relentless pace and superior court coverage proved decisive, as she closed out the match 11-7 to seal her quarterfinal berth.

In contrast, other fixtures were largely one-sided affairs, Reiva Nimbalkar was in fine touch, combining sharp volleys with powerful length to dismantle Bijali Darvada 11-4, 11-7, 11-9. Bijali mounted a late fight in the third game but fell just short as Reiva’s composure saw her through.

Riyansika Verma delivered a commanding performance against Chhavi Saran, registering an emphatic 11-3, 11-6, 11-3 victory. Her aggressive front-court play kept Chhavi under constant pressure, never allowing her to settle into rhythm.

Similarly, Aaradhana Kasturiraj displayed solid all-round play to overcome Khushi Jaspal 11-6, 12-10, 11-5. The second game was the highlight, with both players engaging in long rallies and testing each other’s retrieval skills. Aaradhana’s ability to hold her nerve in the crucial points proved the difference.

The most clinical performance of the day came from Eesha Shrivastava, who dismantled Mahak Talati 11-2, 11-2, 11-2 in a blistering display of pace and accuracy.
