IPL 2025 will see first-time champions AS Punjab Kings and Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) prepare to lock horns in the final stop of the season as it will take place on June 3, Tuesday at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. With rain delaying the Qualifier 2 at the venue, it remains to be seen if it will appear during the tournament-decider.

According to Accuweather, there is only five per cent chance of precipitation during the match hours but the weather will remain partly cloudy, making it conducive for the bowlers. With dew likely to appear later in the day, the side winning the toss is likely to opt to field first.

Punjab Kings were hammered by the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Qualifier 1 but took the new lease of life by the scruff, defeating the Mumbai Indians by five wickets. With Ahmedabad's surface emerging as a better batting surface than that of Mullanpur and Punjab Kings playing just a night before, Shreyas Iyer and co. will fancy their chances but Josh Hazlewood's extra bounce can prove to be lethal.

Meanwhile, RCB look well-drilled to end their title drought after being one of the most consistent teams throughout the tournament. Luck deserted them in the last three IPL finals and it remains to be seen if it does on this occasion too.

Is there a reserve day for IPL 2025 final?

If the final cannot be completed on June 3, Tuesday, it will move to the reserve day (June 4, Wednesday).

In case, the final cannot be completed even on the reserve day, the team finishing higher at the end of league phase will be crowned champions. Punjab Kings will have an edge as they had finished first and RCB ended at 2nd.
