The incident occurred in the second over of the innings as RCB's stand-in captain Jitesh Sharma brought on Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who shared the new ball with left-arm seamer Yash Dayal. With the southpaw hammering the ball way over mid-wicket, the car stationed at that area copped a blow. The car notably will be awarded to the player who has the highest strike rate at the end of IPL 2025 (minimum 100 deliveries.

Jitesh Sharma won the toss as RCB opted to bowl first in Lucknow
The toss at the Ekana International Stadium went in favour of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and captain Jitesh Sharma opted to bowl first. Jitesh announced that Rajat Patidar will play as an impact sub, while Mayank Agarwal has replaced the injured Devdutt Padikkal. Meanwhile, the SunRisers have made three changes from the previous match, bringing in Travis Head, Abhinav Manohar and Jaydev Unadkat.
