World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) Star CM Punk took a brutal dig at Kevin Owens in the latest episode of Smackdown that took place at the Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana. With Punk gearing up to enter the Royal Rumble match and setting his sights at winning the world title, the veteran wrestler said he never lost to Logan Paul unlike Owens.

Punk, a five-time world champion, came close in 2014 to winning the Royal Rumble before being unceremoniously eliminated by Kane. Hence, the 46-year-old is targeting his first Rumble win and will compete with 29 other superstars for a world title shot at Wrestlemania.

Speaking during a segment on Smackdown after interrupting Owens, Punk teased a match with the former at the grandest stage of them all as a video of the same emerged on social media.

"I have never lost to Logan Paul. Something else that I haven't done, I've never attempted to do this, I've never attempted to manipulate my best friend, who I've stabbed in the back multiple times in order to help me win a title because I wasn't confident enough in my own ability. Win, lose or draw I do it by myself. You don't, you take shortcuts."

Kevin Owens to face Cody Rhodes in a ladder match for the "Undisputed" and "Winged Eagle" title

Meanwhile, one of the biggest matches of this year's Royal Rumble is also set to be the ladder match between Owens and Cody Rhodes, with the former walking around, claiming himself to be the real champion carrying the 'Winged Eagle' belt.

Having lost to Rhodes at the Saturday night's event, the 40-year-old will eye redemption at the Royal Rumble.
