In a thrilling contest on the 11th day of the Mumbai racing season at the prestigious Mahalaxmi Racecourse, Time and Tide emerged victorious in the feature event, the Dr. S. C. Jain Sprinters' Championship. The race, a high-stakes affair, attracted significant attention as the tote favorite, Time and Tide, narrowly defeated Miss American Pie by a little over a length to seize the coveted trophy.
The race was a terms event, open to four-year-olds and older horses, featuring a field of eight competitors. As the gates opened and the horses surged forward, Time and Tide initially didn’t get the best start, settling into fourth place as the pack quickly moved ahead. Despite the slow beginning, the horse showcased impressive determination, steadily closing the gap throughout the race. With a burst of speed in the final 100 meters, Time and Tide surged to the front, claiming victory in a dramatic finish.
