"He has beaten incredible players so I knew I had to be very careful" - Jannik Sinner on Terence Atmane

Speaking after the match, Sinner admitted that Atmane was a difficult opponent despite a straight-set victory and believes he could be the one to watch out for. He said, as quoted by BBC Sport:

"A very tough challenge, every time you play against someone completely new it's very difficult. Playing against this guy in the later stages of a tournament, the pressure is higher. He has beaten incredible players so I knew I had to be very careful. He has huge potential."

Sinner will face Spain's juggernaut Carlos Alcaraz in the decider, who defeated an ailing Alexander Zverev in the semi-final. The two have been building quite the rivalry in recent times, having locked horns in the French Open 2025 and Wimbledon 2025 final. While Alcaraz defeated Sinner in the Roland Garros final, the latter won the grass-court grand slam. Hence, it will be a final to watch out for.
