Diogo Jota Car Accident: The first visuals of Liverpool and Portugal footballer Diogo Jota's car crash have surfaced online. The visuals shared by Spanish news media Diario de Castilla y León show how the luxury car Lamborghini went off the road on which Jota and his brother Andre Silva were travelling through the province of Zamora in Spain. The video follows the car's trajectory until it left the road and crashed and caught fire. The vehicle was completely mangled and unrecognisable after the horrific crash.

As per the publication, the incident occurred in the early hours of Thursday morning, at 12:30 a.m., at kilometer 65 of the A-52 near the town of Cernadilla (Puebla de Sanabria).

Jota dies 10 days after marraige

Diogo Jota married his long-term partner Rute Cardoso just last month in Porto, Portugal. Cardoso had shared images to her Instagram just three days ago of her and Jota enjoying their special day, with the caption: "My dream came true.". Jota on the other hand shared the video with a caption 'A day we will never forget'

Jota's football career

Jota started his playing career through Paços de Ferreira’s youth setup before moving to Atlético Madrid in 2016, followed by a transfer to Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League the next year.
it was at Liverpool that he had his best professional stint.

Jota joined Liverpool in 2020 from Wolverhampton for €44.7 million. Since then, he has made 182 appearances for the Reds, scoring 65 goals and providing 26 assists. In that time, he has won three titles with the Reds: a Premier League title (2024-25), an FA Cup title (2021-22) , and a League Cup title (2021-22).

With Portugal he also won two major European trophies. He was a squad of the squad that won the UEFA Nations League in 2019 and 2025.
