The Coliseum stadium in Oakland witnessed Glenn Maxwell's batting masterclass during Washington Freedom vs LA Knight Riders. The Washington Freedom skipper smashed his maiden century in Major League Cricket off just 49 deliveries. The balls were sent flying all over the stadium as he hit 13 sixes and 2 boundaries during his unbeaten century which helped his team post monumental total on board. Washington Freedom set monumental run chase for LA Knight Riders

After winning the toss against Freedom, skipper Maxwell decided to bat first and post a competitive total on board. After losing Rachin Ravindra early, the Washignton team were reduced to 92/5 with batters failing to capitalise on the starts.

However Maxwell turned things around with captains knock. The Australian all-rounder scored 11 runs off 15 balls at the start of the innings before unleashing an absolute carnage. He then scored the next 95 runs off 34 balls to remain unbeaten on 106 runs. He put on an unbeaten 116 runs partnership with AJ Pienaar to help Washingotn Freedom post 208/5 on the board.

In response, Knight Riders, wer ereduced to 26/5 at the time of writing. Openers Sunil Narine, Alex Hales and wicketkeeper Unmukt Chand all failed to open their account.
