Who Is Rutuja Varhade? Pune Girl Creates History, Secures Top Rank Among Female NDA Entrants

Pune's Rutuja Varhade has created history by securing All India Rank (AIR) 1 among the female candidates in the National Defence Academy (NDA) entrance examination.

Speaking to the media, Varhade, a resident of Narhe, said, "Joining the Armed Forces has been my dream since childhood, and it is now coming true. My parents, teachers, and friends have supported me every step of the way."

"I had decided in Class 9 to join the NDA and serve as an officer in the Armed Forces. It was actually my father's dream to join the Armed Forces, but he didn't get proper guidance, so his dream was unfulfilled. Now, he is a professor at an engineering college. But it was his dream that I join the Armed Forces. When female students were admitted to the NDA, my father asked me whether I wanted to join. I started reading about it, and it fascinated me. Later, I met my mentor Tejas Patil, and he motivated me to join the NDA," she added.

Meanwhile, everyone has congratulated Varhade on social media.

NCP-SP MP Supriya Sule wrote, "Rutuja Varhade, a resident of Narhe in Baramati Lok Sabha constituency, secured first rank among girls in the country in the NDA examination. Rutuja is going to be ready to serve the country through NDA, which is a matter of pride for all of us. Her success is inspiring. Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol shared, "Pune city's daughter Rutuja Varhade has topped the list of girls across the country in the NDA examination and has also secured 3rd place in the All India Rank. Rutuja has achieved this success out of 1.5 lakh girls. All Punekars are proud of her success. Heartfelt congratulations to Rutuja and best wishes for her future endeavours!"
