Sinhagad Road in Pune saw yet another day of huge traffic snarls, with one ambulance getting stuck in traffic near Dhayari Phata on Friday morning.
Friday morning saw huge snarls in Dhayari, Sinhagad Road, Warje, and Chandani Chowk. Several Punekars posted the videos of the jam. In the video, a huge queue of vehicles was seen near flyovers on Sinhagad Road.
Due to this, Punekars had to endure a lot of pain even before the weekend. Traffic jam was seen in Sinhagad Road, Warje, Vadgaon area. At this time, long queues of vehicles were formed. A major traffic jam was also created on Rajaram Bridge. People were stuck on the road for about 1 to 1.5 hours. A large number of citizens were shocked due to this traffic jam.
Long queues of vehicles were seen from 8 a.m. to 10.30 a.m.
Traffic woes of the area are not getting over even after the opening of two flyovers on the road, with the third scheduled to open next month.

Meanwhile, in the wake of HM Shah's visit, the district administration has issued directives with regard to traffic diversion. Under the Kalepadal, Kondhwa, and Bharati Vidyapeeth traffic departments, all goods transport vehicles, dumpers, mixers, trucks, heavy, bulky, and slow-moving vehicles are being prohibited from plying on the road between Mantarwadi Phata to Khadi Machine Chowk to Katraj Chowk on July 4 from noon to 5 p.m. Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Himmat Jadhav, in his order, said one-way traffic between Mor Odha to Circuit House Chowk to I.B.
