Mohammad Mujib Khan, a personal assistant to Azharuddin, filed the complaint. In the complaint, Khan stated that the break-in likely occurred during a period when the bungalow was unoccupied between March 7 and July 18, 2025.
According to the police, unidentified miscreants broke into the bungalow by cutting through the wire mesh of the rear compound wall. They then climbed up to the first-floor gallery, forced open the window grill, and entered the bungalow.
The burglars stole ₹50,000 in cash and a television set valued at approximately ₹7,000, resulting in an estimated total loss of around ₹57,000. In addition to the theft, the culprits also damaged property inside the house.
Speaking to the media, Bijlani said, "On July 18, I visited the bungalow along with two of my househelps. Upon arrival, I was shocked to discover that the main door had been broken. After entering the house, I found that the window grills were broken, one TV was missing and another one was damaged beyond repair. All beds were broken, and many household items were either missing or damaged. The refrigerator was also broken. All CCTV cameras on the property were damaged. On the sliding glass panel of the gallery, 'F*uck you' was painted in green. I was extremely disturbed and frightened by the state of the property. I immediately informed the concerned local authorities."
Meanwhile, the police have registered a case under BNS Sections 331(3), 331(4), 305(a), 324(4), and 324(5) against unknown persons.
