As per the press release issued by UPSC, Archit Dongre did his B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from VIT, Vellore, and passed the exam with philosophy as his optional subject. Although the UPSC does not release a state-wise merit list, Archit appears to be the highest-ranking candidate from Maharashtra.

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Tuesday declared the results of the Civil Services Examination 2024, and Pune's Archit Parag Dongre, a graduate (B.Tech.), secured All India Rank three.
As per the press release issued by UPSC, Archit did his B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering from VIT, Vellore, and passed the exam with Philosophy as his optional subject.
Archit completed his schooling in Mumbai and hails from Pune, where he pursued his junior college education. After working at an IT firm for a year, he quit his job to focus on preparing for the Civil Services Examination.
Although the UPSC does not release a state-wise merit list, Archit appears to be the highest-ranking candidate from Maharashtra.
1,009 candidates qualified the Civil Services Exam 2024, and Shakti Dubey topped the exam. Harshita Goyal and Dongre Archit Parag secured the second and third ranks respectively.
Archit has clered UPSC CSE in 2023 as well with 153rd rank.
For the uninitiated, after Delhi, Pune is known as one of the famous hubs for students preparing for civil services exams, with numerous classes in the central part of the city where there are classes and many libraries. Every year, Pune students make it to the CSE lists, and Archit has added his name to this list of students, making Punekars proud.
