A dash cam footage of an accident on Pune's MG Road has gone viral on social media. As per the footage, the video is from the afternoon of May 10. As seen in the video, a biker is speeding on the always-packed MG Road while two moped riders are seen crossing the road. The biker rammed into one of the riders and fell to the ground. As he fell, the public ran to see if he was safe. Amid this, the moped rider slowly fled the scene.

Meanwhile, social media users said it wasn't the fault of the moped rider, as the biker was speeding unnecessarily.

"The biker was fast, reckless and not following lane discipline on a moderately trafficked road - and that too, MG Road's main lane is not that wide. The scooter guy was almost 70% on the crossing and was behind the other guy, so he couldn't have spotted the oncoming biker who was really fast. Should the 'hit and run' guy have waited? Yes, but then everyone would've pounced on him, and probably he got scared and chose flight in this 'fight or flight' situation," a user wrote.

"It's an accident. The uncle couldn't see this racer coming in full speed. I don't see anything wrong with this. That uncle just moved his scooty a bit ahead - probably by mistake - but this guy was coming in so fast. This was not the uncle's fault. Glad he didn't stay to get beat up for no reason," another user commented.

"These bikers think they are on a racing track. Just because the road is one way doesn't mean you can go from extreme left to extreme right in one second," a third user said.

"This is not hit and run. This is an accident and almost all the fault of the speeding guy. He was speeding and tried to do a reckless manoeuvre in a tight gap. I don’t know if you can fault the vehicle crossing the road," a fourth user quipped.
