At a time when tensions between India and Pakistan are running high following the Pahalgam terrorist attack and the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government's retaliation with "Operation Sindoor", calls for national unity are echoing from all quarters. Amid this, a viral video from Pune's Dhayari area has surfaced on social media, fueling communal divide.

Watch Video:

In the video, a person is seen addressing a large gathering. During his speech, he urges everyone to vow to boycott Muslims economically and socially. He is heard saying, "All Hindu brothers and sisters of Dhayari repeat after me — I vow that I will only buy products from Hindus, only those who respect Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, do namaskar to Mahadev, those who have photos of gods and goddesses in their houses, and those who do not use their money for terrorist acts. Even if I have to travel far away to purchase, I will only buy from our people."

Reportedly, this video is from April 29.

Meanwhile, X (formerly Twitter) users slammed those who took the vow.

A user wrote, "Shame on such mentality. Every Indian is proud of the Army operation, but if you are targeting Pakistan by boycotting the business of local businessmen, then it doesn't make any sense. This indicates you are also spreading hate in society. We need to unite everyone, not divide!!"

"Shame on these types of people," commented another user.
