In a move aimed at easing traffic flow, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar inaugurated one side of the Sinhagad Road flyover – from Vitthalwadi to Funtime Theatre – on Thursday. However, a day after its inauguration, a traffic jam was witnessed on the flyover during the evening hours.

The flyover was constructed to alleviate traffic congestion at the Rajaram Bridge junction and improve traffic flow on Sinhagad Road, while also enhancing pedestrian safety.
Designed to facilitate smoother travel towards Swargate, the flyover aimed to reduce fuel consumption for vehicles that otherwise get stuck in traffic jams.
