Two shocking incidents of harassment have come to light from Shivajinagar and Hadapsar in Pune, where a woman and a minor girl were harassed by men for refusing proposals of romantic relationships and sex, respectively.
In the first incident, a young woman was beaten by a man for refusing to have a romantic relationship with him. The incident took place in the Shivajinagar jurisdiction between mid-February and June 2.

The accused has been identified as Shivsagar Madan Gaud (25), a resident of Mangalwar Peth. According to the police, the victim has filed a complaint in this regard. The victim and Gaud were in a relationship earlier. However, the victim broke up with Gaud because of his rude behaviour.
Later, the accused beat her by grabbing her hair and started threatening to post pictures taken from his mobile. Acting on the complaint, the victim filed a police report at the Shivajinagar Police Station.

The second incident took place in the Hadapsar jurisdiction, where a 16-year-old girl was threatened and beaten up by the accused for refusing to have sex.
In this matter, a case has been registered against Dnyaneshwar Ramesh Shinde (20), a resident of Hadapsar. Police said the matter is under investigation and action will be taken accordingly.
