Pune Crime: Husband Dies By Suicide; Wife Held, Her Friend Absconding

A shocking incident has come to light from Pune, where a 39-year-old man died by suicide after being harassed by his wife and her friend. The incident took place on June 15. However, the case was registered on July 9.

The accused have been identified as Sonali Kadam (31) and her friend Krishna Shinde, both residents of Hadapsar.

According to the police, the person who died by suicide has been identified as Atul Kadam (39), a resident of Nana Peth.

Atul and Sonali got married in 2015. Soon after the marriage, they started having arguments. Later, Atul got to know that Sonali had a friendly relationship with Krishna Shinde. Due to this friendship, frequent arguments started between them.

Due to the constant disputes, Sonali started living at her mother's house. Later, she also left her mother's house. After that, Sonali and Krishna started harassing Atul. Fed up with the harassment, Atul died by suicide by hanging himself at his residence on June 15.

Regarding the matter, Atul's mother, Madhuri Kadam, has filed a case at the Samarth Police Station.

Speaking to The Free Press Journal, Umesh Gitte, SPI of Samarth Police Station, said, "The accused wife has been arrested and the matter is under investigation. The exact cause behind the harassment is still under investigation. For the last few months, she had left her husband’s house situated at Nana Peth and started living in Hadapsar. Her friend Shinde is on the run. He will be arrested soon and appropriate action will be taken."
