In a shocking incident, the dead body of a Pune businessman was found near Mananpur village in the Ghosi police station area of Jehanabad in Bihar.
The body was found on Saturday (April 12) but was identified on Monday (April 14). The deceased has been identified as Laxman Sadhu Shinde, a scrap businessman from Pune, Maharashtra, reported ABP News.
He was involved in the scrap business, and the police are conducting further investigations.
As per a report by News24 Online, he was kidnapped and killed after being invited to Patna on the pretext of a multi-crore scrap business deal. Patna Police have arrested three people in the case and detained several others.
Meanwhile, Ghosi SDPO Sanjeev Kumar said that after recovering the body, the police sent it to Jehanabad for post-mortem, and it has now been identified as that of a scrap businessman from Pune, Maharashtra. "In this case, a case of abduction of a businessman was also registered in Patna Airport police station. Patna Police can give detailed information," he added.
Last year, in November, a 70-year-old businessman was kidnapped and murdered by local gangsters after he and his son refused to give them a ransom of Rs 2 crores
