National Conference for Minorities has accused BJP MP Medha Kulkarni of entering a mosque and creating a disturbance.
On April 13, Medha Kulkarni allegedly entered a mosque premises and created a disturbance. A video has surfaced from the mosque of Dargah Hazrat Khwaja Shaikh Salauddin in Kasba Peth in Pune. The National Conference for Minorities has demanded the arrest of Medha Kulkarni.
National Conference for Minorities President Rahul Dambale has brought forward CCTV footage. In it, he has claimed that BJP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Medha Kulkarni created a disturbance in the mosque of Chhota Sheikh Salahuddin Dargah in Pune. Medha Kulkarni tried to enter this mosque. Therefore, he has demanded that a case be registered against Kulkarni, saying that the peace in the city is being disturbed and the religious atmosphere is being disrupted due to Kulkarni's actions.
Chhota Sheikh Salahuddin Dargah Trust has also demanded that Kulkarni be booked and arrested. Kulkarni has been accused of trying to stop the Azaan. Kulkarni, who came for a Punyeshwar temple program on the day of Hanuman Jayanti, has been accused of trying to stop the Azaan given for prayers at the nearby Chhota Sheikh Salahuddin Dargah. A video in this regard has also surfaced. It is also alleged that local Muslim citizens were pushed by Medha Kulkarni at this time. However, the situation was brought under control after the timely intervention of the police.

Meanwhile, Medha Kulkarni, speaking to Free Press Journal, said, "The incident took place on the day of Shri Hanuman Jayanti, when devotees were offering prayers at the Punyeshwar Temple near Kumbharwada. At the same time, the Muslim community began the Azan at a very high volume from an unauthorised mosque located near the temple. Since the area belongs to the temple, we went there to request that the volume of the Azan be reduced. If they are preventing us from entering temple premises, that is not the right thing to do."
