In yet another incident in Pune, a pipeline burst near Goyal Ganga Society, close to the popular Khaugali on Sinhagad Road. Thousands of liters of water were wasted, once again raising concerns about recurring infrastructure failures under the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).

Here’s a timeline of recent pipeline bursts in Pune, highlighting the growing concerns over the city's ageing water infrastructure:
February 16, 2025 – A major pipeline supplying water from Shivajinagar to Dandekar Bridge burst. Nearby residential areas were flooded, and PMC had to shut down the water supply.
March 22, 2025 – A 12-inch pipeline on BMCC Road burst, leading to the wastage of hundreds of litres of water.
March 24, 2025 (1:45 AM) – A pipeline burst in front of Rashtra Seva Dal School on Sinhagad Road, wasting thousands of litres. Water supply was disrupted in Sadashiv Peth, Shivajinagar, and surrounding areas.
March 31, 2025 – A 1,100 mm pipeline near Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj School in Mundhwa burst, worsening water shortages in Kharadi and Wadgaon Sheri.
May 22, 2025 – A pipeline burst near Goyal Ganga Society at Khaugali on Sinhagad Road, once again wasting thousands of litres and disrupting supply.
