Pune Airport witnessed massive waterlogging on Tuesday after a heavy downpour in the city. Within just one hour of the rain, the entire airport was flooded, causing severe inconvenience to the passengers.
The roads in Viman Nagar, leading up to the airport, were also submerged in water. The videos of the waterlogging have gone viral on social media.

Meanwhile, earlier on Monday, Pune was hit by heavy rains. At 39.8 mm, Lohegaon, where the Pune Airport is located, received the highest rainfall.
The rain, accompanied by lightning and gusty winds, is likely to continue till May 25, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
In the ghat sections of Pune district, an orange alert is in place for the next five days, while for other districts in western Maharashtra, Konkan, Marathwada, and north Maharashtra, the alert duration ranges from one to four days.
