26 Agriculture Centres Booked For Fertilizer Sale Irregularities In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar District

It is mandatory for the agriculture service centres, while selling the aided fertilizers to the farmers, to do so through the ePOS system. However, during the inspection, the district agriculture department found discrepancies in the sale and stock records. Hence, action was taken against 26 centres, informed Agriculture Development Officer Prakash Patil and Superintending Agriculture Officer Prakash Deshmukh. The administration appealed to the farmers that they should purchase the fertilizer only through the online system.

According to the details, the Union government has issued directives that Urea, Muriate of Potash, DAP, and 10-26-26 should be sold only through the ePOS system. The retail fertilizer sellers can sell aided fertilizer to the farmers only after receiving it through an online system.

The agriculture department inspected the centres and found that the directors of the centres had sold the fertilizers to the farmers before receiving the stock on the online system. They gave reasons that the ePOS machines were defunct. During the inspection initiated in all the talukas in the district, huge differences were found in the stock and the sale. Hence, punitive action was taken against 26 such centres in the district.

These centres included: Utkarsh Krushi Kendra, Mehgaj Agency, Kisan Agency, Hari Om Krushi Seva Kendra, Sadguru Agro Service (all Dahegaon Bangala, Gangapur), Tirupati Krushi Seva Kendra, Swaraj Krishi Seva Kendra, Nageshwar Krishi Seva Kendra, Vishal Krishi Seva Kendra (Phulambri), Vishwas Agro Service, Shri Sadguru Krishi Seva Kendra, Amruti Agro Agency (Paithan), New Jai Bhole Krishi Seva Kendra (Jodwadi), Gauri Krupa Krishi Seva Kendra (Karmad), Mruda Sanjivani Sheti Sahitya (Gandheli), Mauli Krishi Seva Kendra, Ganesh Krishi Seva Kendra (Kannad), Santosh Krishi Seva Kendra, Nath Krishi Udyog, Om Sai Traders (Vaijapur), Marathwada Krishi Seva Kendra, Hari Om Traders, R K Agro, and Adarsh Krishi Seva Kendra (Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar).
