Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate has made massive security arrangements ahead of the Ashadhi Wari processions of Sant Tukaram Maharaj and Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj, which will begin from June 18.
The Palkhi of Jagatguru Sant Tukaram Maharaj will depart from Dehu, followed by the Palkhi of Sant Dnyaneshwar Maharaj from Alandi on June 19, heading towards Pandharpur.
To ensure the safety of the Warkaris (devotees walking in the procession), manage traffic, control crowds, arrange parking, and prevent criminal activity, a massive police force has been deployed by the Pimpri-Chinchwad police, including 1 Joint Commissioner of Police, 1 Additional Commissioner of Police, 6 Deputy Commissioners of Police, 11 Assistant Commissioners of Police, 61 Police Inspectors, 172 Assistant Police Inspectors/Sub-Inspectors, 2,634 Police Personnel, 800 Home Guards, 3 Companies of SRPF (State Reserve Police Force), 4 Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads (BDDS), 3 Riot Control Teams, and 12 Striking Units.
The main focus of this massive arrangement is to ensure the safe and smooth passage of the Wari procession through the Commissionerate’s limits.
