In a bid to address the problem of potholes during the monsoon season, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has launched a dedicated Pothole Management Application.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh made the announcement on Monday.
He wrote, "As part of our citizen-centric approach, PCMC has launched the Pothole Management App, which empowers you to report potholes and monitor their repairs in real-time."

Meanwhile, the PCMC has made all the necessary precautions for the monsoon. "Quick Response Teams (QRTs) comprising Civil Junior Engineers, Health Sanitary Inspectors and four workers, will be deployed across all zones for swift action during emergencies. Night rescue squads will be activated during high-intensity rainfall or red alert conditions. Mock drills for electricity back-up systems in ICUs and critical wards of hospitals like YCMH will be conducted to ensure uninterrupted care. Coordination with schools is being strengthened to ensure access to keys and facilities during evacuations," a release stated.
