In a social media gaffe, Shiv Sena leader Ravindra Dhangekar found himself in an awkward situation on Thursday after posting an image featuring the Congress logo. The post quickly caught the attention of netizens, prompting Dhangekar to quickly change it with the bow-and-arrow logo of Shiv Sena.

The former Congress MLA had put up a post on the occasion of World Theatre Day. In the post, he wished all artists and audiences on the occasion. However, he accidentally included the Congress logo. After realising the mistake, he immediately changed it and reposted the same with the Shiv Sena logo.

Earlier this month, after experiencing back-to-back political setbacks, Dhangekar joined the Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena. “I have decided to quit Congress as per the demand of my supporters. It was a good journey with the Congress. I have formed good relations with the Congress leaders. I have nothing against anyone in the party,” he said.

Dhangekar was elected as an MLA on a Congress ticket from the Kasba Peth Assembly seat in the bypoll held in 2023, where he defeated the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in its bastion. However, he lost the seat in the 2024 Maharashtra Assembly polls. Before that, Dhangekar faced defeat in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Pune, where he lost to the saffron party's Murlidhar Mohol.
