A clash between two groups with swords and choppers took place on Tuesday at 4:30 pm in front of Indraprastha Mangal Karyalaya on Wangewadi Road near Ghoti toll plaza in Nashik's Igatpuri taluka. The police intervened promptly and took the accused into custody, and a case has been registered against the four accused at Ghoti police station under Section 194 (2) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 4/25 of the Indian Arms Act. Police Constable Satish Sahebrao Chavan of Ghoti police station has filed a complaint in this regard.
According to the information received, the police received a tip-off that two groups were fighting with each other near the Ghoti toll plaza around 4:30pm on Tuesday. When the police reached the spot, they saw that one group consisted of Mithun Jaichand Dubhashe (31, resident of Avachitwadi, Kanchangaon, Igatpuri) and an unknown person with him, while the other group consisted of Nilesh Ramdas Bhagde (31, resident of Nandgaosado, Igatpuri) and two to three of his accomplices. Both groups were fighting with sharp weapons like swords and choppers.

The police immediately intervened and stopped the fight. At this time, a sword with a 24-inch long steel pointed and curved blade, a 6-inch long yellow and engraved handle was seized from the possession of the accused Nilesh Ramdas Bhagde. Also, a chopper with a 10-inch long steel pointed blade and a 5-inch long black plastic handle was seized from the possession of Mithun Jaichand Dubhashe.
Since the accused were fighting with illegal weapons in front of the police, the police registered a case against them. Further investigation into this crime is being conducted by Police Sub-Inspector Prateek Bhingarde, Ghoti Police Station. This incident had created a tense atmosphere in the area for some time.
