An X (formerly Twitter) user, Swaraj Harne, has accused IndiGo of damaging his father's luggage and dodging accountability.

He wrote, "Flight: Doha → Pune via Delhi (6E1346 and 6E1262). The bag was intact in Delhi during the transfer. But in Pune, it arrived severely damaged — an entire wheel ripped off! This doesn’t look accidental. It reeks of reckless or deliberate mishandling."

Harne stated that the airline staff offered a conditional ₹4,000 voucher if they booked another flight.

"We refused and demanded fair compensation per DGCA CAR Section 3, Series M, Part IV, since the bag was unusable. Then it got worse. Senior staff showed up, DID NOT file a PIR, and gave false assurances of a follow-up call. It’s been 3 days. No call. No update. Just silence. This is deliberate evasion of responsibility," he added.

Harne emphasised that they would be filing complaints with AirSewa and other relevant authorities.

"Proof of IndiGo staff inspecting the damage inside Pune Airport is attached. IndiGo must be held accountable! Flyers deserve better," he said. "@IndiGo6E destroyed my father’s luggage and is now dodging accountability. If you fly IndiGo, be warned: they might trash your baggage and pretend nothing happened," he added.
