On the holy day of Guru Pournima, a vehicle of devotees who had come for darshan in Igatpuri taluka met with a terrible accident near Mundhegaon junction on the Nashik-Mumbai highway on Thursday.
The accident occurred when a container carrying cement powder hit the vehicle of the devotees, in which a total of four people, two women and two men, died on the spot. This incident is causing a stir in the taluka.

According to the information received, all the devotees involved in the accident were residents of Andheri, Mumbai. On the occasion of Guru Pournima, they had come to Ramdas Baba's Math near Mundhegaon for darshan. While returning after darshan, the accident took place. Their vehicle was completely crushed by the impact of the container, resulting in the unfortunate death of all four of them.
After the accident, there was some traffic congestion on the highway. As soon as the information about the incident was received, Nivrutti Patil Gund of Jagadguru Narendracharya Maharaj Sansthan Nanij Dham Free Ambulance immediately rushed to the accident site and started relief work. Ghoti Police, Highway Police and Toll Station teams also reached the spot. Work began to remove the bodies buried under the car with the help of a crane. This heartbreaking incident has spread mourning in the Igatpuri taluka.
