Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar VIDEO: Scooter Rider Crushed Under Truck In Waluj MIDC

A scooter rider died after colliding with a goods truck on Monday at around 9:30am. The incident occurred at Kamgar Chowk in the Waluj MIDC area. The deceased has been identified as Sanjay Jaisingh Ghunawat (55, native of Walujwadi, Gangapur, presently living at Shivajinagar, Waluj). The accident victim died on the spot.

According to the details, the truck (MH26 AD 4995) laden with industrial goods was coming from Waluj and was going towards Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Ghunawat was going on his scooter (MH20 HE 9630) from Kamgar Chowk towards the Waluj area. At the Kamgar Chowk signal, the truck dashed his motorcycle, and Ghunawat lost control. His scooter immediately went under the tyres of the truck, crushing him. He died on the spot. The police, on receiving the information, rushed to the spot and took the body to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

A case has been registered against the truck driver with the Waluj MIDC police station, and the police are further investigating the case.
