Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: “The government is committed to the progress of the last person. However, people’s participation is important at every stage to provide immediate and quality services and facilities. Together, we will take our city, district, state, and country towards progress,” opined Maharashtra’s Social Justice and District Guardian Minister Sanjay Shirsat during the official government flag-hoisting function on Friday.

Initially, Shirsat hoisted the tricolour and a guard of honour was given. Later, Shirsat conveyed Independence Day wishes to the people. He said the government schemes are being implemented properly in the district through the CM’s 100-day action plan. Now, the CM has given a 150-day action plan to the administration to provide efficient and quality services and facilities to the people. Funds of Rs 156 crore will be granted for development works at the Ellora pilgrim centre, to be accomplished under the supervision of the Archaeological Survey of India.

In all, 722 patients were given government aid by the end of July, and funds of Rs 6.05 crore were provided. This year, Rs 735 crore has been allocated for the annual scheme, Rs 104 crore for Scheduled Caste schemes, and Rs 90.46 crore for Scheduled Tribe schemes, Shirsat said.
Ex-servicemen, police officers, government officers, and students were felicitated by the Guardian Minister on the occasion.
