Amid rising concerns over blatant traffic violations across the city—especially following the recent incident where a Mercedes driver fatally hit a biker—another alarming case has surfaced. In the video, a young man is performing dangerous stunts on an electric two-wheeler on the busy Katraj-Dehu Road Bypass (part of the Mumbai-Bengaluru Highway). The video has caused public outrage.
At present, several videos from Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad traffic police jurisdictions are going viral, showing bikers and drivers blatantly disregarding traffic signals and rules, such as riding without helmets and triple-seat riding.
The said stunt took place near the Punawale and Tathawade areas. The rider, on a vehicle with the number plate MH 05 ZD 9681, was seen doing risky tricks in broad daylight. When someone recording the video asked him to report to the Wakad Police Station, the youth casually said he would, showing no concern for the law. He also mentioned he was from Madhya Pradesh.

The incident has raised serious concerns about road safety and the response of local authorities. As per the report by Punekar News, both the Ravet and Wakad Police Stations claimed the area wasn't in their jurisdiction, as Punawale and Tathawade lie on the border between the two. However, both police stations later said they would investigate once the correct jurisdiction is confirmed.
