Mumbai: Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane, on Wednesday met with the Gupta family, who was attacked during a violent clash in Ganpat Patil Nagar of Dahisar West on 18 May 2025. "I have come to meet the victim’s family. My sister is with me, our MLA was also with us. We all came together today as Hindus, not as ministers or MLAs — we came here as one Hindu," Rane said during a media interaction.
Rane said, "Iss tarah ki himat hum humare Mumbai mein karne denge nahi, ye unke abba ka Lahore aur Pakistan nahi hai." Which roughly translates to, "We will not allow this in our Mumbai. This is not their father's Lahore and Pakistan."
"Ye Hindurashtra mein humara Mumbai hai." Which translates to, "This is Mumbai of our Hindurashtra."
On May 18, Three people were allegedly murdered during a fight between two families in Dahisar West. The deceased were identified as Hamid Sheikh (49), Ram Gupta (50), and Arvind Gupta (23).

The incident occurred at Ganpat Patil Nagar, Dahisar West. The Sheikh and Gupta families live in the same area and have had a long-standing dispute over petty issues. On Sunday, the two families once again clashed with each other using weapons, resulting in the deaths of three people.
