Mumbai: Obscene Chats Expose Targeting Of Hindu Female Students At Viva College Garba Event In Virar; Minor Accused Held

Mumbai: A disturbing and significant story has surfaced from Viva College in Virar West (86 kms from Mumbai), the location of the largest Garba event in the Vasai-Virar region. The event, which attracts both students and outside citizens who purchase entry passes, has become the center of a major controversy involving a twelfth-grade student from the college.

The student is alleged to have been propagating 'Love Jihad'.

The incident came to light last Friday during the Garba festivities. Organizers noticed the Class 12 student was filming videos of girls. Upon immediate questioning and checking his mobile phone, organizers discovered several videos of girls, along with obscene chats about hindu girls, and conversations detailing plans to deceive and ruin Hindu girls.

The Garba organizers and the Viva College educational institution promptly filed a complaint with the police. After three days on Monday a FIR was officially registered against the minor student at the Bolinj Police Station in Virar. The investigation has revealed that the boy, who is a minor, was allegedly using a specific app to facilitate the deception of Hindu girls by Muslim boys. Similar incidents have reportedly surfaced in cities like Mumbai and Ahmedabad.

This incident occurs amidst continuous demands from political parties to restrict the entry of Muslim boys into Garba events. Recently, efforts to disrupt the atmosphere have also been observed with banners reading “I Love Mohammad” appearing, fueling nationwide debate. This Virar incident has now added a local flashpoint to the ongoing controversy.

Further investigation confirms the existence of a specific app used by Muslim youth to discuss about ruining Hindu girls. The chats reportedly contain confessions that they have deceived many girls during Garba events. The entire incident has caused a huge stir in Vasai-Virar, sparking intense discussion across the area.

College Stance & Demand For Action

Addressing the controversy, a spokesperson for the educational institution, Professor Deepa Verma, stated, "This is a platform where we want last student to be educated; we cannot bar entry to anyone." She further added that strict action would be taken by the college following the police investigation and that the student  had joined the college only a few months ago.

Following the blatant attempts at 'Love Jihad' now exposed in Vasai-Virar, various Hindu organizations are demanding a thorough and detailed investigation into the entire matter.
