VIDEO: Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation Launches Crackdown On Illegal Hoardings; 27 Banners Removed Across City
The Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has launched a special drive to remove illegal and unauthorized hoardings and banners across Kalyan. The drive is being carried out under the instructions of KDMC Commissioner Abhinav Goyal.

Kalyan: The Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) has launched a special drive to remove illegal and unauthorized hoardings and banners across Kalyan. The drive is being carried out under the instructions of KDMC Commissioner Abhinav Goyal.
According to civic officials, the campaign aims to prevent accidents and ensure public safety by clearing visual clutter caused by unauthorized advertisements. The action began three days ago in Ward 5/D.
During the operation, a total of 27 banners and posters were removed from both sides of the roads, dividers, and other public places. The breakdown of the removal includes:
Santosh Nagar near Nala Toilet – Two hoardings (10×15 ft)
Near Santosh Nagar Arch – One hoarding (15×15 ft)
Tisgaon Naka – One hoarding (20×20 ft)
D Ward Area – Two hoardings (10×10 ft)
Durga Imperial, Kalyan-Sheel Road – One hoarding (20×40 ft).
Aamrai Chowk to Vijaynagar Road – One hoarding (20×20 ft).
In total, eight large hoardings were also dismantled as part of the campaign, and the remaining banners and posters were removed.

The KDMC has appealed to advertising agencies, shopkeepers, and traders to voluntarily remove any unauthorized or expired hoardings. Authorities have also urged them to renew expired licenses promptly to avoid penal action.
