Navi Mumbai, May 24: A video surfaced on social media in which questioned were raised over the hygiene standards of a famous restaurant in Navi Mumbai's Sanpada. A social media user entered the kitchen of Meraki Restaurant and made a video claiming that the hygiene standards are not up to the mark in the restaurant. However, the restaurant has issued a statement and claimed that the claims being made in the video are false.
Meraki Restaurant issued a statement on its official social media account and said, "Truth matters — especially when it’s distorted. A video from our Sanpada outlet is being shared with false claims. It was filmed illegally, without consent, during routine cleaning hours over a month ago. No unhygienic practices occurred — only standard protocols taken out of context."
The post further read, "At Meraki, we uphold the highest hygiene standards, backed by FSSAI licenses, third-party audits, and full compliance documentation. We’ve taken legal action against this attempt at coercion and remain transparent with our community."
They also thanked the customers for extending their support and trust. It said, "To our community — thank you for your continued trust. We remain committed to transparency, quality, and the principles that have built Meraki into the space it is today."
