Mumbai: In a strong statement, the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray extended his support to Rahul Gandhi, urging every Indian, regardless of political ideology, to watch Gandhi’s latest exposé on the Election Commission of India (ECI).
"Whichever political ideology you belong to, if you are a true patriot, a true Indian, you must watch Rahul Gandhi exposing the Election Commission today," Thackeray said.
He echoed long-standing concerns that elections in India over the past few years have not been free or fair. “We pretend to be a democracy, but we truly aren’t in the fairest sense,” he added.
Thackeray praised Rahul Gandhi for presenting facts and proof with transparency, saying, “Rahul Gandhi has logically, and with proof and facts, with absolute transparency, exposed the Election Commission today.”
He further demanded accountability from the ECI, stating, “The Election Commission must face Rahul Gandhi on a stage and answer the questions and proofs presented today.” Taking a sharp dig, he said, “@ECISVEEP as ECI can change its name otherwise to the Entirely Comprised Commission.”
Concluding his remarks, Thackeray emphasised that this issue goes beyond elections. “It’s not about elections, it’s about our nation!” he declared.

Rahul Gandhi Uses PowerPoint to Make Explosive Allegations Against BJP, Election Commission Over 'Vote Stealing' in Maharashtra Polls
Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, made serious allegations against the BJP and the Election Commission of India (ECI) on Thursday during a high-impact press conference held in Delhi.
Using a PowerPoint presentation to lay out his claims, Gandhi accused the BJP and the Election Commission of working together to "steal votes" during both the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections in Maharashtra.
Gandhi said his party had raised concerns from the moment the results were declared, highlighting what he called unusual voting patterns and a lack of transparency from the ECI.
"In Maharashtra, more voters were added in five months than in the previous five years. This was our first red flag," he stated. He further questioned the unexpected surge in voter turnout after 5:30 PM on polling day, calling it "Statistically and practically suspicious."
