Thane Tragedy: Bhiwandi Man Kills Wife Over Domestic Dispute, Flees With Minor Son
The accused has been identified as Shravan Kumar Suresh Sahani (40), a labourer by profession. The deceased has been identified as Manju Shravan Kumar Sahani (33).

A 40-year-old man from Bhiwandi allegedly killed his wife over a domestic dispute on May 4 and then fled the scene with their minor son.
The accused has been identified as Shravan Kumar Suresh Sahani (40), a labourer by profession. The deceased has been identified as Manju Shravan Kumar Sahani (33). The couple, along with their eight-year-old son, lived in Tadali village in Bhiwandi, under the jurisdiction of the Narpoli police station. They all hailed from Bihar.
The incident occurred at House No. 13 in Tadali village, Bhiwandi, around 6:30 PM on Wednesday. According to police, the family had been living in the rented accommodation for the past twenty days.
The complaint was filed by Sahebrao Chaudhary, the owner of the chawl where the family lived. Chaudhary was informed by his manager that the door to the Sahani residence had been locked from the outside since morning. Concerned, Chaudhary rushed to the spot, questioned neighbours, and eventually unlocked the door. Inside, he found Manju lying unconscious on the bed. He immediately informed the local police.

Manju was taken to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital in Bhiwandi, where she was declared dead on arrival. Police confirmed that Sahani and his son were missing from the house.
Pramod Kumbhar, Police Inspector at Narpoli Police Station, said, “We rushed to the scene and called a forensic team to collect blood-stained clothes and other evidence. We have formed two teams to apprehend the accused and are reviewing CCTV footage from the area. The victim’s family has been informed and may come to Bhiwandi for the final rites. A manhunt has been launched for Sahani.”
Preliminary investigation suggests that Manju may have been strangled. Further investigation is underway.
