Thane News: Kalyan Police Return 71 Lost Or Stolen Phones Worth ₹12.28 Lakh To Owners

Several complaints regarding lost and stolen mobile phones had been filed at Dombivli Police Station, Manpada Police Station, and Vishnunagar Police Station. Acting on these complaints, the police launched an extensive search operation.

In a commendable initiative, the Kalyan Police organized a program to return lost or stolen mobile phones to their rightful owners. A total of 71 recovered phones were handed over to citizens who had earlier reported them missing.

Several complaints regarding lost and stolen mobile phones had been filed at Dombivli Police Station, Manpada Police Station, and Vishnunagar Police Station. Acting on these complaints, the police launched an extensive search operation.

According to officials, the operation was carried out under the guidance of Thane Police Commissioner Ashutosh Dumbre. Teams comprising police officers and technical experts used advanced tracking methods and the CEIR (Central Equipment Identity Register) portal to trace the missing devices.

The recovered phones were distributed as follows:

Dombivli Police Station: 23 phones

Manpada Police Station: 24 phones

Vishnunagar Police Station: 24 phones

The recovered mobile phones, collectively worth approximately ₹12.28 lakh, were handed over to their respective owners during a program held on July 5 at Leva Bhavan, Mangal Office, Dattanagar, Dombivli East.
