Thane-Ghodbunder Slip Road To Remain Closed At Night From June 7–9 For Metro Line 4 Work At Nalpada; Alternate Routes Announced

Thane: The Thane traffic police have issued a traffic advisory regarding the Metro Line 4 work carried out within the limits of the Kapurbawdi Traffic Sub-Division. As a result of this work, all traffic travelling from Thane to Ghodbunder via the slip road will be completely closed from June 7 to June 9 during the night at the given timings. To help prevent traffic congestion in the area, access has been restricted, and alternate routes have been provided.

This traffic notification will be in effect from June 7 at 11 PM until June 8 at 10 AM. Additionally, traffic control measures will be implemented from 11 PM on June 8 until 6 AM on June 9. The project work is carried out by the company M/s. Reliance Astaldi Joint Venture. They are going to lay four iron girders on pillar numbers P27, P28, and P29 at Nalpada Pipeline.

As per the advisory shared by Pankaj Shirsat, Deputy Commissioner of Police, and the Traffic Department. During this time, two cranes, each with a capacity of 550 tonnes, will be erected at Nalpada Pipeline on the Thane-Ghodbunder Slip Road. The alternate routes have been provided to ensure the convenience of the general public; it is essential to prevent traffic jams in this area and maintain a smooth flow of traffic.

Entry Closed: All types of vehicles going towards Ghodbunder from Thane Ghodbunder Slip Road via Kapurbawdi Circle are being 'closed' at Kapurbawdi Circle.

Alternative Route: All types of vehicles going on the said route will proceed from Kapurbawdi Circle under the bridge, take a right turn from Nalpada Signal, and proceed to the desired destination via Nandi Baba Chowk, Dhokali.

b) All types of vehicles passing through this route will take a left turn from Ravi Steel Naka and take a right turn from Pokhran Road No. 2, Gandhi Chowk, and go to the desired destination via Khewra Circle.

Entry Closed: All types of vehicles coming out of Nalpada and going towards Ghodbunder via Philosophy University are being 'closed' at Nalpada Pipeline.

Alternative Route: All types of vehicles passing through this route will take a U-turn from Nalpada Pipe Line and go to the desired destination from Nalpada.

This traffic control notification will not be applicable to police vehicles, fire brigades, ambulances, green corridors, oxygen gas vehicles and other essential service vehicles.
