Thane Court Grants Anticipatory Bail To Wife Of Prime Accused In Kashimira Rape Case
The accused allegedly engaged in repeated sexual acts under the pretext of marriage, with the encounters reportedly taking place in hotels and at the complainant’s residence.

The Thane District and Sessions Court has granted anticipatory bail to Sangita Yuvraj Kamble, wife of the prime accused in a rape case, in connection with case registered at Kashimira Police Station. Kamble was booked under IPC Sections of rape, outraging modesty of a women and several other criminal charges.
According to the prosecution, the complainant, who is a married woman was allegedly sexually exploited over a period by the prime accused, Yuvaraj Kamble, who misrepresented himself as unmarried and used a fake Facebook profile in police uniform. Kamble was actually working as a worker with the petrol Pump . The accused allegedly engaged in repeated sexual acts under the pretext of marriage, with the encounters reportedly taking place in hotels and at the complainant’s residence.
The court noted that the main accused had already secured anticipatory bail in June 2021 and that Sangita’s role appeared limited, as she is his wife. The judge observed that despite being served notice, the complainant remained absent for the hearing. Granting pre-arrest bail, the court directed Kamble to furnish a personal bond of Rs 25,000 and cooperate with the investigation while refraining from tampering with evidence or contacting witnesses.
