Sharad Pawar Dissents Over Congress's Demand For Special Parliament Session On Pahalgam, Op Sindoor (Video)
Speaking to media in Mumbai, Pawar said, "I am not opposed to calling a special session of Parliament... but this is a sensitive and serious matter, and proper discussion of such issues isn't feasible in Parliament... In such circumstances, maintaining confidentiality serves national interest... Rather than a special session, it would be preferable to convene an all-party meeting."

Former Union Minister and NCP(SCP) chief Sharad Pawar said on Monday that he was not in favour of convening a special session of Parliament, stating that meaningful discussion on such serious issues would not be possible in the legislature.
Pawar's statement comes as the Congress party vigorously demands a special parliamentary session to discuss the Pahalgam terror attack and Operation Sindoor.
Notably, Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi requesting a special session to examine the Pahalgam attack, Operation Sindoor, and the US-mediated ceasefire announcement.
"It is imperative for citizens and their representatives to deliberate on the Pahalgam terror attack, Operation Sindoor, and today's ceasefire – first announced by US President Trump. This would also demonstrate our united resolve to address forthcoming challenges," wrote Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha, in his letter to the Prime Minister.
