Mumbai: In a press conference headed by Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut talked about various issues ongoing in the country from Cabinet passing the Caste Census to WAVES Summit held in Mumbai, Raj and Uddhav Thackeray's union and other topics.
Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut in a recent press conference today stated that the Modi government had announced a caste-based census after a cabinet meeting at Prime Minister Narendra Modi's home but the credit goes to Rahul Gandhi. He further praised Rahul Gandhi for consistently bringing up the issue and welcomed the decision.
Raut stated that the government acknowledged the importance of the caste census due to Gandhi's advocacy, suggesting the move was also timely, aimed at diverting attention from recent critiques faced by the government after the Pahalgam attack.
With elections approaching in Bihar and West Bengal, Raut argued that the government felt pressured to address this matter, attributing the decision to Gandhi's efforts to bring the issue to the fore. He criticized the BJP's earlier opposition to the caste census and emphasized that the current decision reflects a shift in their stance. Raut emphasized the historical significance of this initiative for the Bahujan community, asserting that credit should solely go to Rahul Gandhi.
