A dog found inside the ladies compartment of Churchgate-Bhayandar AC local on Tuesday (July 1) during the peak hours, was rescued at Bhayandar station by Railway Police Force officials. Commuters informed that the dog was already present inside the train when they boarded from Churchgate. However, it is not known who the owner of the pet is, and the commuters also stated that it didn't look like a stray dog.
Rescuers, along with daily commuters, are currently in touch with non-governmental organisations (NGOs) to provide a shelter to the dog, which seemed to have lost its with or was abandoned by the owner.
In the videos, shot by passengers, the dog is seen sitting under a seat, looking scared. Commuters offered water to the dog but it refused to drink.
