The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) conducted a successful mock drill on Wednesday at its headquarters to test emergency response protocols and raise awareness about fire safety among staff. The drill was organized by the Fire Department as part of ongoing efforts to enhance disaster preparedness.
At 4:00 PM, a siren signaled the start of the drill, and a fire engine arrived promptly at the main entrance of the PMC building. Announcements were made simulating a fire emergency, instructing all personnel to evacuate immediately. The building was swiftly cleared, and all employees gathered at a designated safe zone outside.
Following the evacuation, the Fire Department provided detailed guidance on safety measures to be followed during disasters. Officials explained what steps should be taken during emergencies, where to go, and how to remain calm and safe.
