Panvel Football League 2025 Kicks Off In Kharghar, Showcases Emerging Talent Under BJYM’s Banner
The Panvel Football League (PFL 2025) was kicked off this weekend in Kharghar, offering a promising platform for emerging football talent in the region. Organised by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Kharghar, the tournament began on May 16 and 17 from 5:00 PM onwards at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Ground, Plot No. 20, Sector-7.

Panvel: The Panvel Football League (PFL 2025) was kicked off this weekend in Kharghar, offering a promising platform for emerging football talent in the region. Organised by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), Kharghar, the tournament began on May 16 and 17 from 5:00 PM onwards at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Ground, Plot No. 20, Sector-7.
Bringing together eight top teams, the league saw participation from 80 young footballers under the guidance of experienced team managers and support from prominent team owners.
"This first-of-its-kind league-style tournament in Kharghar is designed to create a structured environment for young athletes to showcase their skills," said the organisor.
PFL 2025 also coincides with the birthday of Paresh Thakur, former House Leader of the Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC), whose contribution to youth and sports development has been widely acknowledged
Former PMC Chairman and Corporator Harshada Amar Upadhyay has invited residents. calling the league an important launchpad for budding footballers. She emphasised that the event is more than a competition—it is a celebration of potential and passion for the sport.
"Football is steadily gaining popularity across India, PFL 2025 is a welcome step toward building a stronger foundation for the game at the grassroots level in Navi Mumbai and surrounding areas," said Nikhil More, a resident.
