Palghar, Maharashtra: A motorcycle accident on the Ahmedabad-Mumbai Highway in Sakwar village, Vasai Taluka, claimed the lives of two young men on the evening of May 10.
The deceased have been identified as Ashok Dattu Handwa (25) and Paras Sunil Vartha (18), both residents of Jawai Pada, Khanivade, in the Vasai area. According to the police, Ashok was riding a two-wheeler at high speed when he lost control and struck a divider.
Ashok reportedly suffered fatal injuries and died on the spot, while his pillion rider, Paras, sustained serious injuries and later succumbed. The preliminary investigation suggests reckless and negligent driving as the cause of the accident.

Arvind Dattu Handwa, brother of the deceased Ashok, reported the incident to the police.
