Navi Mumbai: NMMC Hosts 'Reading Aloud' Competition During Marathi Language Conservation Fortnight

As part of the ongoing Marathi Language Conservation Fortnight, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) organized a 'Reading Aloud' competition themed 'Biographies and Autobiographies That Touched Me.'
The event saw participation from 24 officers and employees, who delved into the lives of various personalities through their readings.
Marathi Language conservation fortnight program is going from from January 14 to January 28.

The actor while addressing the gathering related about the profound impact that biographies and autobiographies can have on individuals, shaping their personalities.
Palwe commended the participants for their engaging renditions, noting that such reading initiatives would inspire listeners to explore the featured books.
Palwe appreciated the books found in the NMMC Libraries and the corporation's efforts to promote a reading culture. NMMC's initiative of providing books even in NMMT buses was stated by the judged to be exemplary and worthy for other cities to follow.
Continuing the Marathi Language Conservation Fortnight, a program titled 'Smritikhuna: Jaywant Dalvi' is scheduled for Friday, January 24, at 4 PM.
This event commemorates the birth centenary of renowned writer Jaywant Dalvi. Conceptualized by noted writer Dr. Nirmohi Phadke, the program will feature readings from Dalvi's various literary works by actors Yogesh Kelkar and Vandana Gujar. Additional Commissioner Sunil Pawar has invited literature enthusiasts to attend and honor the literary legacy of Jaywant Dalvi.
